No, Virgin Media is not a mobile phone manufacturer. It does run a mobile connectivity business though, offered under the brand Virgin Mobile. Virgin Phone, on the other hand, is the brand for its landline telephone services.
The reason why mobile phone connectivity issues are often linked with Virgin Media because it launched the world’s first virtual mobile network. Its mammoth internet user base also gets affected every time their fibre optics gets down too, as they are the Wi-Fi internet provider in the London Underground.
Under Virgin Mobile, it offers mobile network connectivity by using the physical networks of Vodafone UK, which was previously contracted to use EE networks.
