Batman: Arkham Origins and the Other Best Games

Batman: Arkham Origins and the Other Best Games

When it comes to video games, not many superheroes have managed to find a strong footing. Spider-Man games are the exceptions though, with the Batman series also running it close for fan followings. With many fan favourite titles like Batman: Arkham Origins, the dark knight is really busy being a billionaire by the day and a crime-crusader by the night.

Over the years, many titles were released to capture the essence of the Batman comics. But the narratives of an enjoyable game doesn’t necessarily have to originate from the comics. Rather, they should provide an authentic experience with a narrative of its own.

To that point, let’s find out the three of our most favourite Batman games of all time from below.

3. Batman: Arkham Origins

A prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight and developed by a different developer, Batman: Arkham Origins was filled with bugs and glitches upon its release. It did grow into us over time though, with its snow-falling Gotham city, enjoyable narrative, and some strong characters. Not the most critically acclaimed, but it certainly makes a mark with clever characters, exciting twists, and boss battles.

2. Batman: Arkham Asylum

When the Batman: Arkham Asylum was dropped, it felt like the entire series had been reincarnated. With strong villains like Joker, Bane, Killer Croc, Scarecrow and others taking part in a captivating story, this is often considered to be the best Batman games ever. Although not the best on our list, we certainly love its gameplay and how it influenced the later games in the series.

1. Batman: Arkham City

Even if you don’t like it as much as we do, you can’t deny how perfectly designed Batman: Arkham City is. It was perhaps the most innovative in the series, with its tantalizing above-rooftop glides offering an experience to cherish forever. Its design is continuing to influence many new releases even today.
