From the beginning of the Coronavirus emerging period, scientists have been working very hard to find out an effective treatment for this disease. AstraZeneca is a Covid 19 preventive vaccine that is discovered by a research panel of Oxford University. Cost-effective and primarily deemed safe by WHO, many nations rest their hope on this vaccine.
According to the reports, the AstraZeneca vaccine works best on people over the age of 55. It also has a minimum age restriction of 18 years and below. There can be a risk factor with pregnant women if they are shot with AstraZeneca in their body. So, they are also discouraged from taking it.
The vaccine is given in two different doses. One full dose is given at the first attempt which has shown 93% efficiency. The second dose is suggested to push after at least one month. Overall it has shown 63% efficiency in a full course.
The side effects were not that much alarming till now. A simple headache, joint aches, fever, and vomiting were identified which is quite normal. But if we look at the recent report of Norway Medical Agency, we can see a different picture. The report said that four adults had been attacked with serious blood clothing right after taking the vaccine.
Based on this report, countries like Ireland, Italy have already banned this AstraZeneca in their area.
